WHO WE ARE
At Tulsa Honor Academy (THA), we are on a mission to equip all scholars with the academic skills, content knowledge, and ethical character required for college graduation and life success.
We believe ALL scholars, regardless of race, background, income or ability, can achieve at high levels. We work relentlessly to ensure 100% of scholars are on a path to go to and graduate from a college of their choice, beginning in the fifth grade.
Opening our doors in 2015 with 92 fifth grade scholars, THA will grow to serve over 1,400 scholars in grades 5-12 across our three school sites campuses in the 2026-2027 academic year.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Tulsa Honor Academy’s Director of Scholar Interventions is a member of our Network Leadership Team. The DSI oversees all of the scholar interventions across the THA network. The DSI manages and coaches any leaders and members of the Scholar Intervention Team. Areas of oversight include, Special Education, English Language Development, Gifted and Talented, RTI, Academic Interventions and Counseling.
The DSI ensures that the Special Education, English Language Development, and Gifted and Talented programs are in compliance with State and Federal requirements.
The DSI ensures that all scholars, at all ability levels, receive a high quality college-preparatory education with appropriate interventions.

Core Responsibilities
- District Compliance: Ensures that all THA schools are operating within State and Federal requirements for Special Education, English Language Development, and Gifted and Talented.
- Vision Setting: Responsible for creating and implementing the scholar interventions vision in alignment with the greater THA mission and vision.
- Appropriate Interventions: Ensures that interventions across the network are managed effectively. Scholars have the interventions necessary that allow them to succeed in our academically rigorous environment.
- Academic Growth: Ensures that scholars on IEPs and ELAPs make significant academic growth on internal and external assessments.
- School Supports: Provide supports such as coaching, professional development, resources, and structures to help teachers and leaders provide equitable access to high quality instruction for all scholars.
- Vendor Management: Effectively manages external service providers.
- Project Planning and Management: Effectively designs and leads initiatives to improve scholar interventions and drive scholar academic results. Effectively leads others through the work.
THE DETAILS
Qualifications/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
- Active Special Education state certification is preferred.
Experience
- 3 years of experience as a teacher, teaching K-12 special populations is required.
- Proven track record of academic growth and achievement.
- Experience in district leadership is strongly preferred.
- Experience leading an organization in the area of compliance strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in a school serving a similar population to THA’s is preferred.
- Charter school experience is strongly preferred.
Role
- The Director of Scholar Interventions will work on THA’s Network Team and report to the Chief Academic Officer.
- Full time, year round, exempt.
Compensation and Benefits
