At Tulsa Honor Academy (THA), we are on a mission to equip all scholars with the academic skills, content knowledge, and ethical character required for college graduation and life success.
We believe ALL scholars, regardless of race, background, income or ability, can achieve at high levels. We work relentlessly to ensure 100% of scholars are on a path to go to and graduate from a college of their choice, beginning in the fifth grade.
Opening our doors in 2015 with 92 fifth grade scholars, THA will grow to serve over 1,400 scholars in grades 5-12 across our three schools in the 2026-2027 academic year.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Tulsa Honor Academy’s Human Relations (HR) Manager will oversee and optimize HR operations in alignment with THA’s goals and values. This role entails managing end-to-end HR functions enhancing employee relations, and guiding HR initiatives that support organizational culture and operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities
- Onboarding, Hiring, Offboarding: Oversee the entirety of THA’s onboarding, hiring, and offboarding processes for THA’s Network, including managing THA’s ATS. Collaborate with school leaders to enhance the hiring process, ensuring alignment with THA’s values and staffing needs. Coordinate with the Chief of Staff to assess staffing needs and support proactive recruitment strategies.
- Benefits Administration: In coordination with THA’s Network Operations Coordinators, manage THA’s benefits programs, providing guidance and support on enrollment, claims, and benefit inquiries. This includes FMLA.
- Employee Relations and Compliance: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations and management on employee relations issues, addressing concerns, complaints and workplace conflicts. Provide guidance to managers, as needed. Ensure compliance with local, state and federal employment laws. Oversee maintenance of accurate employee files and certifications. Assess and resolve employee relations issues, collaborating with legal, Chief of Staff, and management teams as necessary. Serve as Title IX Coordinator in employee-related matters.
- HR Operations and Systems Management: In coordination with THA’s Network Operations Coordinators, oversee THA’s HRIS and Benefits Management systems, maintaining accurate employee information. Support data-driven decision-making. Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to optimize HR workflows and enhance service delivery.
- Policy Development and Communication: In coordination with the Chief of Staff, develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with organizational values. Provide ongoing training and
- resources to managers and employees regarding HR policies, employee rights, and workplace expectations.
- Strategic HR Initiatives: Support the Chief of Staff in strategic initiatives related to human resources. Collect and analyze data and make recommendations for improved processes or procedures. Lead or support HR projects and initiatives.
- Oversee Coordinators: Oversee and hold accountable Network Operation Coordinators who support HR functions.

Qualifications/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources or related field.
- HR certifications strongly preferred.
Experience
- 2+ years of HR experience, preferably within education or nonprofit sectors, required.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, employment laws and best practices.
Role
- The HR Manager will work on THA’s Network Team and report to the Chief of Staff.
- Full time, year round, exempt.
Compensation and Benefits
